Dress #355 After Dior
There was the most beautiful dress in Bon Marche---maybe in all of Paris. This homage doesn't do it justice, although I like this one, too. The sparkles in the beading don't show up very well in the photo. Satin and beads.

Dress #315 Pink and Black
This dress has been in my mind for several months, but I didn't have any pink fabric at hand. I bought the fabric for another dress, and made this one as well. Fabric and lace---my favorite combination.

Dress #257 Pink Bubbles
I'm experimenting with some skirt shapes here. The results are not quite what I wanted, so I may try again. This dress would work for a bridesmaid dress, don't you think? Silk dupioni and a tiny silk ribbon bow.

Dress #245 Pink Pleated Paper
This short, dressy outfit is made of the most wonderful paper. Truly as soft as gossamer, it is as difficult to work with as cobwebs! I bought the paper from Marie Papier years ago, and this year it came back across the Atlantic with me. Paper and a bibelot from the local bead shop.

Dress #239 Pink Custard
Jeff brought home delicious little custards from our local market, in lovely golden tins. I liked the combination of the gold and the pinky/apricot of the polka dot paper. (I liked the custard, too.)

Dress #217 Huck Weaving 2
This is from the other fabric that I embroidered back in the 50's. Frankly, it feels good to have used them. Should I have been more sentimental? I still have the memory of doing it, and that's enough.

Dress #214 Ruched Waist
I tried a different silhouette for today's dress with a ruched waist and slight dolman sleeve. I like the look for either work or a dress up occasion. The fabric is an ITY knit that is intended for a summer top---in some future year.

Dress #211 Plastic Wrap
I don't recall why I have deep pink plastic wrap in the kitchen, but it looks better as a dress than it does covering the guacamole. Reynolds plastic wrap with some scrapbooking rhinestones.

Dress #191 Too Sweet
This dress is too, too sweet. Made of sugar sheets from the cake decorating department, in pink and with flowers? Way too sweet. Makes my teeth hurt.

Dress #178 Flowered Cap Sleeve
A different sleeve today, and I like the result. This is made from a flowered cocktail napkin, and looks very cool and summery.

Dress #169 Dots and Stripes
Just black and white--dots and stripes---and a hot pink belt. Simple, but I like the combination. Fabric and ribbon.

Dress #166 Cheongsam
Experimenting with a new profile for today's dress. I love the look of the cheongsam, but have never known anyone who wore this style. Just cotton and some narrow twill tape.

Dress #149 Quilt Sundress
This is made from a couple of embroidered quilt squares I made some time ago. The quilts made by this embroidery process are beautiful, but I found it a bit tedious.

Dress #133 Margaritaville
I didn't start out with this intention, but today's dress looks like she should go out for Margaritas! It is all paper---tissue paper and cardstock with a dragonfly bead for embellishment.

Dress #105 Pink and Blue
I have this really great double-faced ribbon: pink on one side, blue on the other. Obviously, it is great for baby gifts, but I used it for today's dress as well. A sweet little prom dress, perhaps?

Dress #87 Patchwork
A pretty pink, almost Asian looking print. Perhaps it is the peonies that make me think it is Asian.
