Dress #268 Orionid

Last night was the peak of the Orionid meteor shower, and although I'm in too much of an urban setting to see them myself, the glories of technology allowed me to share. This photo and the time-lapse video were stunning and inspired this dress. Fabric, trim, a bead, and another snippet of Blue Heron yarn.

Here's a dressy outfit---perhaps for the grandmother of the groom? Gold "quilted" paper, and cotton from the stash.

This dress is just a simple dress made from a purple double knit fabric. I think the belt makes it special---with its different shades of blues and purples.

This is a dress that you'd wear to the party celebrating the grape harvest. Hopefully, in those areas of France where the grapes are grown is isn't raining like it is here in Paris tonight.

Dress #92 Color Catcher

Some recycling today. You know those sheets you can put in the wash to gather up fugitive dye? I liked the richness of the colors---one from a dark load, and another from a lighter load. The sheets become soft and almost felt-like after the wash and dry cycles.

Dress #91 Purple Pasta

Did you know that if you put food coloring in the pasta water, you get colored pasta? What fun! If only I had some five-year-olds to feed. I love this purple pasta dress---good for dancing, don't you think?
