Dress #189 Maura

Worn by Sasha Alexander's character on Rizzoli and Isles, I loved this elegant suit. Linen and scrapbooking brads.

Dress #179 Black Lace and Linen

I like the combination of the black lace with the linen, but is it too somber? Or is it elegant?

Dress #176 Linen and Roses

Sigh...I love this little dress, too. The colors, the print, and just everything about it. It might be too fussy for work, but if you change the belt and wear a cardigan, it could work.

Dress #175 Gray Linen

Just a simple day dress of gray linen---with a polka dot cummerbund. Linen and ribbon with ball chain necklace. Update: This is the only dress I've allowed myself to go back and revise. On 7/23/12, I redid the skirt and it is more pleasing to me now.

Dress #88 French General

A simple linen shirtdress with red top-stitching. Natural linen with red accents is a typical French look. There's also a shop and designer called "French General" and this has that style, too.

Dress #83 Linen and Lace

I love the juxtaposition of the rough linen with the smooth, feminine lace. In this scale, the linen almost looks like burlap---another favorite fabric.

Dress #10 Thread Scribbles

Black on tan--one of my favorite combinations---and just sketching with the sewing machine. Easy, and ripe with opportunity to do even more. Linen background. I like it. I must remember to breathe.
