I love this fabric, as it reminds me of the
Johnny Cash song. There are very few place names on it that I haven't lived in or visited. Of course, the crab is for the Chesapeake Bay area that I've called home longer than anywhere else. Perhaps I'm a bit homesick today. Nah, just like the fabric!
It is sad to feel homesick, but I like your dress a lot!
ReplyDeleteI send you a smile :-)
Fun! What are the big red numbers on the fabric?
ReplyDeleteYou can cure the homesickness in two weeks :-)
YOu lived in Honolulu too?
ReplyDeleteLove the fabric
Love the dress
Where can I buy it (& I never wear dresses!)
What's the story behind the tiny crab?
No, just visited many of these places...not all.
DeleteThe tiny crab is representative of the Maryland Blue Crab. You can't live in Maryland without appreciating crabs. I'm looking forward to a crabcake from G&M when I get home.
Eileen, yes!!
DeleteEileen, I don't know the significance of the numbers; I might email the designers and ask them. This is a fabric from Sweetwater for Moda Fabrics. I love all of their designs.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your comment, Jeannie. I really appreciate it and I truly agree with everything you said. ;)
ReplyDeleteLove this dress and the little crab belt. I'm a cancer, so I'd love to have one.
Love,
